Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s brand The Row has become one of the most covetable purveyors of chic understated style since its launch two decades ago. Now the epitome of quiet luxury, it counts everyone from Kendall Jenner to Jennifer Lawrence as its fans. Now, Natalie Portman has served up a reminder that quiet luxury can be—well—very, very quiet and still make an impact. And naturally, she turned to The Row for her look.
Appearing on The Tonight Show on January 21, Portman opted for the brand’s Fontana wool blazer. The single-breasted oversized design features padded, boxy shoulders, an ever-so-slightly fitted waist, and classic flap pockets. In a truly chic move, Portman decided that the blazer made more than enough of a statement on its own—she paired it with nothing but some semi sheer black tights and simple pointed toe black heels.
The actress elevated the look with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. including a diamond choker, dainty hoops, and a few rings. She wore her hair in a simple center part in a slightly textured, low-key lob around her shoulders.
During her appearance on The Tonight Show, Portman shared that her son, 14-year-old Aleph, is following in her fashionable footsteps with his own fashion line. “My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called DeVante,” she revealed. “I’m very proud of him. He really just did it all on his own.”
Portman is, in many ways, the poster girl for quiet luxury. Just take her impeccably simple white tee and jeans look on the streets of NYC or her simple denim shorts and navy tee look.
