Suki Waterhouse Nods to Retro Running Style in Ecco Biom Lite Sneakers and Tights

This unique pairing gives Ecco’s minimalist sneaker a bold street-meets-track look.

On Thursday, Suki Waterhouse brought sporty vibes to the streets of London. While shopping for plants in Notting Hill, she wore Ecco’s Biom Lite leather sneakers in a bold deep red.

The Ecco Biom Lite is one of the brand’s lightest sneakers. It’s designed for flexibility and all-day comfort. Waterhouse’s pair featured a rounded toe, tonal laces, and a contrast outsole. Meanwhile, the soft leather upper hugged the foot for a sleek fit. In addition, a subtle logo and molded heel grip added structure without adding bulk.

Ecco is bringing more style-forward designs back to the U.S. and U.K. markets. Recently, the brand highlighted its Biom line — including trail-inspired styles and sculpted slip-ons — in the “Icons That Last” campaign featuring Chloë Sevigny. For the campaign, Sevigny chose the lace-up Biom C-Trail ballerina sneaker. She has also been spotted wearing them publicly in New York.

The singer and actor styled the deep red sneakers with sheer black tights, glossy burgundy running shorts with white piping, a graphic tee, and a navy twill jacket. This tights-and-shorts combo echoed vintage gym uniforms and retro track looks from the late ’80s and early ’90s. Meanwhile, Ecco’s minimalist sneakers grounded the outfit with a modern edge. To finish the look, Waterhouse added a vivid pink ruched shoulder bag and black rectangular sunglasses.

Ecco, the Danish footwear brand known for its vertically integrated production, is undergoing a leadership shift. Former Reebok executive Neal Taylor was recently named CEO of the brand’s Americas division. Under new leadership, Ecco has expanded its wholesale and e-commerce strategy. Its Spring 2025 campaign features minimalist slides, sculpted heels, and fresh updates to the Biom series.

Meanwhile, Suki Waterhouse recently co-founded the app With Gratitude with Poppy Jamie. The daily gratitude-sharing platform promotes wellness and connection within close friend groups. Reflecting this mindful approach, Waterhouse’s off-duty looks have become more low-key — practical, repeatable, and rich in texture.
